Arabian Days Festival kicks off in Abu Dhabi

Yesterday, the third edition of the 'Arabian Days' festival kicked off, organized by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, affiliated with the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, at the landmark of Saadiyat Island. The festival was held under the theme 'Create an Arab World,' and the opening day was filled with cultural experiences that reflected the richness of Arab culture in both its traditional and modern aspects through a rich and interactive program. As part of the festival, the conference 'Artificial Intelligence and Arabic Language Teaching' was held in partnership with New York University Abu Dhabi, discussing how artificial intelligence can reshape the teaching of the Arabic language. The festival also featured a storytelling training program in cooperation with 'CNN in Arabic,' providing the new generation of content creators with practical and advanced media skills. During his opening speech, the head of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, Dr. Ali bin Tamim, affirmed that 'Arabian Days' is no longer just an annual celebration coinciding with the World Arabic Language Day declared by UNESCO, but has become a cultural platform that calls for restoring the relationship with the Arabic language as a language of life. It offers innovative experiences in music, arts, and culture, supports and enriches creative sectors with the spirit of Arabness to present their achievements in an attractive modern format. The program dedicated to children included board games, Arab rhythms, and bilingual shows, in addition to puppet shows and musical performances inspired by famous Disney works.
